Ha sido la temporada en la que las redes sociales se convirtieron en el mejor aliado de figuras públicas, sobre todo músicos que optaron por utilizarlas para seguir en contacto con sus fans. Y Angel Olsen no fue la excepción, pues el día de hoy acaba de lanzar un nuevo tema a través de su Instagram. 

Además, ya hemos visto que Olsen ha estado bastante activa durante estos últimos meses, pues ya ha mostrado distintos covers, al igual que también participó recientemente en un Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, en donde presentó algunas canciones de su próximo álbum.

Este pasado fin de semana, la compositora estadounidense, dio a conocer su nuevo tema, “Time Bandits”, a través de su cuenta de instagram. En un video de once minutos, podemos apreciar la composición de piano con una melodía un tanto melancólica, en donde reflexiona sobre el “aquí y el ahora”, del que tanto escuchamos cuando mencionamos a Buda en nuestras conversaciones. 

Al respecto, la cantante confesó que escribió la canción apenas hace unas semanas, pero su intención no fue hacer referencia a la conocida película de 1981 de Terry Gilliam del mismo nombre.

“Escribí esto después de regresar a casa de St. Louis hace unas semanas... en contra de mi mejor criterio, decidí poner nuevas canciones, es un negocio pero es mi negocio”, mencionó Angel Olsen en un comunicado.

“I want you I want you I need you right now/ To be here and lay down and get on the ground/ And hear it and feel it and know that you’re bound/ to the earth to each other, and that’s where it’s found/ The love that we wanted the future we need”, canta Olsen.
